Those wonderful folks over at the IRS are sending out the anticipated tax rebate checks earlier than originally planned. Whether it will have the impact the government is hoping for, in terms of an economic boost, remains to be seen.

This morning I heard something about today being Les Paul’s birthday. For those that aren’t familiar with the name, Les is a musical legend, both as a guitarist and an innovator of the solidbody electric guitar. Although everything I could find says that his birthday is actually June 9, 1915 ( yeah, he’s in his 90’s and still kicking ass ), it was a nice reminder of what a living legend really is.

Reality TV. I hate the term, the idea, and the shows. OK, i don’t watch the shows, but if I did, I would hate them. From what I have heard of them, and the little I have seen of them, “reality” is as close to these shows as Nader is to taking the White House any time soon.
